Welcome to the LifeType API

This is the starting point of the LifeType API. The API provides a group of classes that go from database abstraction and data representation to templating and data validation.
This documentation is not an in-depth introduction to the LifeType API but instead it should only be used as a reference when developing plugins or customizing LifeType.

The best place for developers to get acquainted with LifeType is the wiki and the development section on our website.

Although we try to keep the API as stable as possible and preserve compatibility with older versions with every new release, the API isn't carved out of stone. Therefore we provide you with API documentation for older stable versions of LifeType.
